THE PROBLEM WITH SOUND IN LET'S LEARN VIETNAMESE :

When using "Let's learn Vietnamese" program, if you can only hear music without any voices, the problem is that your sound card is using virtual MIDI port through the WAV port. To solve this problem, follow these steps:

1. Click "Start" button on your desktop, select "Settings", then "Control Panel".

2. Double-click on "Multimedia" icon to open "Multimedia Properties" window.

3. Click on "MIDI" tab.

4. Select "Single Instrument" option, select an instrument in the list (for example, instrument SB Live MIDI Synth).

5. Click "OK".

6. Run "Let's Learn Vietnamese" program to test.

If your computer still has the problem, you need to repeat step 1 to reselect another instrument device and retest.

When you test the program, some instruments may only emit the voices without any music. You should take note these device number for later reference.

If you can not find any instrument to produce both voice and music after trying all of instrument devices, you have to select the one to emit the voice without music to learn Vietnamese at the moment or upgrade a new sound card with separated MIDI and WAV port to hear the background sound when studying.

Recommended sound card: Sound Blaster Creative 16 bit.
